Sunday Class Options

Babes (1 or Walking - Pre-Kindy

Starting with babies, we care about the experience your kids have in church.

Your child will experience personal care from our awesome babes team. We keep our Babes rooms ready for your little ones with age-appropriate toys that are cleaned after each program. We also know babies have specific needs & schedules, so when you bring your child to the classroom, we have an easy-to-use form that you can fill out to let our team know any specific needs for your child that day. We also take time to love & pray for your child each week.

Currently the Pre-Kindy children are also located in the Babes room & we want to cater for them too. As young children start to develop they engage more with their church experience, so we help them interact and build their faith through stories, crafts, songs & play based learning experiences throughout the room that give them biblical truths. They also start to form relationships with other kids & their carers.

If you child requires a nappy change or toileting we will inform you using our communication system that will appear on the main screen auditorium or text message.

Kids (Kindy - Grade 6)

Every Sunday, your kids from Kindy through to Grade 6 have the opportunity to engage in age appropriate, safe & fun classroom environments.

The primary school kids will be taught biblical truths & practical lessons through a chronological curriculum that gets kids out of their seats and into the storytelling action. The content is delivered in both a whole group & small group setting through games, stories, craft and play opportunities that gives them the benefit of consistent group leaders & interaction with kids their age that foster strong connections.

Together, they learn faith forming biblical truths with real world application. But more than that there is space and time to develop a personal relationship with Jesus.

The primary school kids also attend the main service for worship under the supervision of our Next Generation Kids team & are released to their own program after 2 songs. We believe it’s important that the children engage with what is going on in the community as faith is taught & caught.

Children in the Kids room must be toilet trained. If your child does require the toilet we will inform you using our communication system that will appear on the main screen auditorium or text message.

Our Oasis Next Generation Kids is made up of four parts:

Praise Party

Every classroom engages in Praise and Worship either within the classroom or the larger service depending on their age group. We encourage the kids to celebrate God through dance, singing, speaking out praise and enjoying God together. The Kids Team set an air of expectation each week that God wants to talk to them and that when they lift their hands or sing out aloud they are reminding themselves, showing others & God that He’s number one in their life & they are thankful for Him.

Bible Time

This is the part where we get to dive into Gods word together. We start with a Bible review, so the kids know how we got up to the Bible story we are doing. Then follow up with a Big Bible Catcher activity, age-appropriate video & scripture look up. Finally, we join in the weeks memory verse challenge. There are crazy stories, funny moments, practical truths & a whole lot more that’ll help and encourage your kids to want to go deeper into His word

Reflect & Respond Time

The children are given space each week to reflect and respond in the large group at an age-appropriate level. With questions and tools to spark thought, prayer, reflection, and response to God individually based on what they have learnt.  The small group time is built in not to review what they have learnt but to foster strong relationship with leaders, peers and God, and take what they have learnt and apply it. This is done through activities and discussion in the following steps: 1. Ice breaker 2. Application activity, 3. Bible review, 4. Memory verse and 5. Response to God.

Play Time

Kids learn by doing, and for them, it’s generally done through play. We offer both structured and free play activities in big and small groups throughout the morning that are designed to both introduce kids to the Bible story and Big idea as well as foster convocation about biblical concepts as build friendships and let the kids have fun and enjoy church!
