God Can Do Anything
“Thanks be to God for His gift that is too wonderful for words.” 2 Corinthians 9:15
1. What was the name of the baby that God was going to give to Mary? (Jesus)
2. What was so
special about baby Jesus? (He was God’s Son, the Savior of the world)
True or false: Mary believed God could do anything. (True) That’s right! The Bible says that Mary was blessed because she believed that God can do anything!
1. • Have you ever been afraid that something wouldn’t work out? How were you feeling at that time?
2.How do you know God can do anything? Because Gods words tells us.
SAY: Even when we can’t see everything that God is doing, we can believe God loves us and wants what’s best for us!
Pray this: God, help me to believe that you can do anything and that I would not be afraid to ask you for the things that I need!, Amen!

3.Don’t Eat Pete – SAY: Let’s play a game called “Don’t Eat Pete” to help us learn more about how God can do anything! 2. Wash’ hands. GIVE each person a Game Sheet and a pack of mini cookies. Place one mini cookie on each picture on their Game Sheet. 3. All the elves are named Pete. SPREAD the Pete Cards, blank side-up, in the middle of the group and EXPLAIN how the game works: You will each have a turn to toss the beanbag onto a Pete Card in the middle of the group. After it lands on a Card, you will turn around so you are looking away from the group. While you’re not looking, I’ll turn the Card over and show everyone which “Pete” it landed on. Then you will turn back around and start eating your cookies from your Game Sheet. When you pick up the cookie from the “Pete” on your Card, everyone will stop you and say, “DON’T EAT PETE!” Let’s see how many cookies you eat before you try to eat Pete. 4. ALLOW kids to take turns choosing a Pete Card and eating their cookies until they are stopped by the group. After each child plays, READ and DISCUSS the back of the Pete Card the beanbag landed on.
5. PLAY until everyone has had a turn and ALLOW kids to eat the remaining cookies. Then SAY: This
game helped us think about how God can do anything! Let’s say that together again: God Can Do Anything
