Designate a time and place to sit together and watch the curriculum
Gather with some snacks and a drink and enjoy God together!

1. Praise Party

Worship to the music with your mouth and body.  Think about something you are thankful for this week or tell Jesus how much you love Him and are thankful for Him in your life.  Think about that during worship and speak it out to God. Have fun and enjoy Jesus together!

3. Lets Talk

Say the Point and Verse out loud together.

No more baby stuff. It’s time to grow up!

Memory Verse: Hebrew 5:13 NLT …someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right.

  1. Close your eyes and listen to the Bible verse. What does this Bible verse make you think about?

  1. If someone asked you about “spiritual milk” or “spiritual meat,” what would you say to them?
  2. When someone starts living for Jesus, what do you think they need the most help with?
  3. Lots of people need help learning to live for Jesus. What do you want to do to help them?

4. Pray

Ask the children to share things they’d like to pray about. Write your prayer request so you can continue to pray for your family during the week. Pray together, give them a chance to lead the prayer if they want to. Not sure what to pray?

Pray this: God, Thank you for forgiving our sins. Please remind me of things I do that are sinful and refresh my mind so that I will not continue to do sin in these ways. I ask for your continued guidance with this. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

5. Activity

When you choose to follow Jesus, your heart becomes a baby heart all over again that’s ready to learn how to live for Jesus! You need people to tell you how to do that at first. That’s spiritual milk. That milk helps you grow so you can live for Jesus and teach others, too! That’s spiritual meat!

Each child will need an activity sheet and some textas or colouring pencils for this activity. Children can write or draw examples of learning to live for Jesus on the section that says “Spiritual Milk,” on the section that says “Spiritual Meat” they need to draw or write examples of living for Jesus without being told. Use the activity supplement to get their minds thinking and then get them to put some of their own down as well. Fold on the dotted line to cover over their answers and have the picture of a milk bottle a chicken leg showing. Children can colour and decorate these as they desire.
