What is God saying using the Traffic Light
The Holy Spirit speaks to us and leads us, a little like a traffic light. He can show us what we need to STOP doing, He can WARN us of who and what to be cautious of, and He often tells us to GO and do things. Have kids pray about these 3 different things and write what God puts on their heart on the different traffic light colors.

Prayer. You need it, your kids need it. Like water to our very souls, the importance of prayer cannot be overstated. But how do you keep kids engaged in praying, more than rote words or “God bless my puppy”?
Sometimes, you need to do something different to engage their senses and spark their minds. I have found that Prayer Stations are helpful to show kids ways to pray and to keep them focused. I have used them with great success with ages from preschoolers through adults.
PRAYER STATIONS
Station 1 CARDBOARD HOME – Supplies: cardboard box, textures. Do;s Question; How would it feel to live in a box like this? Do;Write you prayers and thought on the box. Pray out loud with your family. Scriptures;Psalm10:17, Proverbs 21:13
Station 2 HEALING HANDS; Supplies: paper, pens, scissors Do;Do you know anyone who is sick or in pain? When we pray for people who are sick or in pain Jesus is able to bring comfort and healing. Write down a prayer for someone you know who is sick or in pain on a hand you have traced and cut out. Question; If someone in your family is sick why not lay hands on them and pray together for healing. Scriptures; Jeremiah 30:17, Exodus 15:26, Isiaiah 53:5
Station 3 You are Loved – Supplies;collection of mirrors that the children can use to look at themselves with. Do: The idea of the station is that the children look at themselves and ask God to show them what He loves about them. Encourage them to allow some silence so that they can process. This can then lead to discussion about how God sees us differently to the way we sometimes see ourselves, especially when we are saying negative things about ourselves. It might also be appropriate for children to speak out positive words about others in the group as a reflection of God’s love for them. Questions: Look into the mirror. What does God want to tell you about yourself? What does God love about you the most? Scriptures: Romans 3:8, Psalm 139:13-16, John 3:16.
Station 4 Jumping for Joy- Supplies; trampoline. Do;Bounce on the trampoline. Think of all things you are thankful or joyful for this week. Shout them out to God and say thank you. Scriptures: 1 Chronicles 16:34, Psalm 95:2-3, Psalm 9:1
