3.Cookie Stack– SAY: SAY: Let’s play a game called “Cookie Stack” to practice what we’ve learned today. We’re going to split up into two teams and take turns answering questions. When you answer correctly, I will give
your team a cookie. But, you’re not going to eat it yet, because when all questions have been
answered, your team will have one minute to race to build the tallest standing cookie tower. DIVIDE kids into two teams. PLACE the Cookie Stack Cards in a pile in the middle of the group. DRAW a Card and ASK one team the question on the back. When the team answers, GIVE them one cookie. ALTERNATE asking teams questions until all Cookie Stack Cards have been read. Once all questions have been asked, SAY: Now, you have one minute to come up with a plan for how to
build the tallest tower, and then you’ll have one minute to build it. If your tower falls over after
you’ve built it, your team loses. The team who has the tallest tower still standing at the end of the two minutes is the winner. ALLOW about one minute for teams to plan and another minute for teams to build. Once time is up, TELL kids to stop building and CONGRATULATE the winning team. GIVE each child a new cookie, rewarding the winning team first. SAY: You all did a great job coming up
with a plan for building your cookie tower! This game can help us remember what we’ve learned
today! Say it with me:

A Plan (palms up in front of body)
