Hi Oasis Juniors, ARRR I’m so glade you’ve joined us today! This month we are pretending to be pirates on board Captain Buckleboots pirate ship where we will make some great discoveries about Jesus
& the Bible!  Do you want to join us too? Get your pirate hat and telescope ready along with a snack
and sit back and enjoy!

Help your child engage. Worship to the music with your mouth and body. Have fun and enjoy Jesus together!

Dear Jesus, thank you for all the stories in the Bible. I know that the stories in the Bible are real! Thank you for my snack. I love you! Amen

While your having fun with the activities, here are some discussion questions to talk to your kids about today:

 1. What special thing did Captain Buckleboots have to help us discover if the stories in the Bible are real? (His special map)

2. In the beginning, did God have a big plan to make the world? (Yes)
3. What are some things God made? (Sun, moon, clouds, oceans, sky,
plants, mountains, fish, birds, animals, etc.)
4. What was the most wonderful creature God made? (A person) That’s right! God made each of you! When we look around with our pirate eyes & see all the things God made, then we know that God REALLY did make all the things in our Bible story.

  1. Colouring sheet – The Stories in the Bible AAAAr True’
  2. Application Activity – Real or Pretend; Give each child a Kid Storybook. Have them follow along as you show and read the Storybook. Give them a sticker to place on each page in the correct circle. SAY There are lots of fun stories to read. Some are real, and some are pretend. But today we discovered that: The Stories In The Bible (hold out hands like book)

  3. Memory Verse  – PRACTICE the Remember Verse if time & attention spans allow.
  4. Craft – Make Telescope by using an old paper towel roll. Decorate it and place the Need to know verse.
  5. Role Play– Make a pirate ship out of an old box and a map for your child to go on an adventure exploring the backyard.
